What is Cultured Marble?
Cultured Marble is a mixture of fiberglass resin and crushed limestone, that is formed/cast and molded, to resemble natural marble.

Can You be More Specific?
These Cast Polymers are a mixture of an unsaturated polyester resin, highly filled with inorganic particulates and pigments. The most common fillers used are engineered calcium carbonates (for cultured marble), aluminum tri-hydrate (for cultured onyx) and aluminum tri-hydrate with a suspension of specialty formulated color chips (for cultured granite.)

Sometimes referred to as an "engineered composite", cultured marble is a cost effective alternative to real marble, and has 4 times the strength of natural stone.

Cultured Marble also allows for incredible design flexibility, and has become a prized product for many San Diego Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling Projects. This design flexibility & new color trends are key factors when choosing cultured marble over natural stone.

Cultured Marble is cast or formed in a variety of standard and custom molds, and due to its popularity, it is used in a wide variety of products. Bathtubs, whirlpool decks and tubs, shower pans and wet walls, windowsills, bathroom fixtures, bar sinks, pedestal sinks, and vanity tops with a surface that resembles marble. The Cultured Marble Transformation - TruStone
With the advent of new “photofuzion” technology, it is now possible to embed high-resolution images of beautiful natural granites and marbles into the surface of cultured marble. This can be accomplished for approximately the same cost as today’s cast polymer products, however the results are superior.

This “photofuzion” technology allows Scandinavian Marble Design to duplicate any surface, or for that matter anything that can be photographed or created graphically, and “fuze” it into a cultured marble surface.
